I'm back on Blogspot.com.

Greetings everyone, I have been away from Blogsport for about 5 years. I lived in Portland, Lake Oswego and Woodburn, Oregon for 21 years. For the the last few years all of my energy was getting myself back to the beach. Finally in 2014, October we finally sold our home. Within  30 days we found a home near the beach in a little town called Reedsport, Oregon. From the moment I arrived I knew I was home. I will never leave the beach again, never. We found this little cottage on a 2 day weekend. That's all the time we had as the new owners of our Woodburn home were moving in in 30 days. Even though it was all a rush we found a cute little cottage 3 miles from the marina and beach. Since
I had my last blog, Fresh Linens-LavenderLady.blogspot.com we have had many changes in our lives. My husband recently had knee replacement surgery and is doing well. Pretty much waiting to heal so he may have the other knee replaced as well.
Also 5 years ago I was looking for a little dog online to adopt. I found a site called adoptapet.com. For a few days I searched and searched. On this site, (I highly recommend it), you may list your criteria such as how far you are willing to travel to get the dog, age, breed, any size, age, color, etc. Milo's picture popped up and I called the Albany, Oregon dog pound and asked if Milo was still available to adopt. The wonderful woman there said he was. It was closing time so at 9 A.M. the next morning we were at their door waiting for them to open. The gal, Jan had just bathed Milo so she came out and put him on the counter. Milo jumped into my arms and that was that. He has been my light and love now for the past 5 wonderful years. Milo had been adopted and then returned to the pound. I have no idea why. Perhaps it was a problem with house training him, as it took me a few weeks but  he is so smart he learned quickly. With the exception of coming when I call him. Grr, grr!
A few years back I did the Aunt Bee's Farmhouse shows. They are twice a year, May and October I believe. I sell collectibles and antiques when I can find them at a good price. I also make things like pillowcases, jewelry, lamp shades, decoupage items, etc. Since we moved here to the Oregon coast, I have a small space at the Purple Pelican antiques mall in Florence. There I have things for sale mostly on the shabby chic side of collectibles. I love old chippy paint and items that have faded with time but have good quality. If you are ever in Florence, Oregon please come by. My space is #38. Mike and Stella are the owners and they are wonderful people. I am old now 67 so I don't do as much anymore but having a small space at the mall makes me feel like I'm still in the game.

On my blog you will see whatever new projects I'm working on and images of my mall space. I try to go to shows and flea markets but have yet to find new ones in this area. I will post pic's of any new places I find in this area. I will also post images of my surroundings. I now live in paradise. So until next time, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hugs and loves, Carol
